Our Crew

Our Crew

A woman with long, blonde hair wearing a bright orange knit beanie, a black and white striped sweater, and a white scarf, steering a boat on a body of water with a smiling expression.

Aubrey

A 100-ton USCG-licensed captain, Aubrey has sailed across the world and rebuilt her classic 51-foot “pirate ship” from the keel up. Now she’s sailing 4,000 nautical miles through Central America with two women and her baby, documenting a coastline few dare to explore. Her journey blends resilience, motherhood, seamanship, and adventure into a raw, modern odyssey—proving what’s possible when you trust yourself enough to chart your own course..

Violet

Violet, born in September 2024, is the tiniest—and funniest—member of the Houdini crew. Proudly sporting a shark-themed life vest (naturally), she loves steering the giant helm like she’s captaining her own ocean empire. Her favorite animal is a shark, her favorite movie is Jaws, and her silly, fearless personality keeps the all-girl crew laughing. Violet is the heart of the voyage—our baby captain with ocean-blue confidence and the spirit of a seasoned sailor.

BIRTH STORY
A woman with curly brown hair in a bun, wearing a black tank top, tan pants, and black sneakers, sitting on a rock in a desert landscape with cacti and rocky terrain, holding a fluffy cream-colored dog, both smiling at sunset.

Jordan

Jordan is the first mate, business bosun, chef, and logistics wrangler aboard the 51' ketch Houdini. After years traveling solo in her Scout camper and living between Baja and the Pacific Northwest, she rejoined longtime friend Aubrey to help reimagine Sailing Miss Lone Star. Now Jordan steers operations, meal prep, and provisioning for off-shore passages as part of their woman-powered crew sailing south toward Panama.

Savannah

Savannah is Houdini’s powerhouse deckhand, born and raised in Yelapa, Mexico—a sea-bound village you can only reach by boat. Salt of the earth and deeply connected to her family, she carries the kind of strength and positivity that can’t be taught. Small in size but mighty in spirit, Savannah meets every task with a can-do attitude and unwavering grit. She’s the quiet force and sunshine of the all-girl crew sailing south.
